Service Opportunity
SHARE is a local food pantry and clothing room, and one of our local mission partners. Serve by sharing your technology skills at SHARE of McLean’s computer restoration lab:
Volunteer one Saturday a month to help student volunteers diagnose and order parts to refurbish donated computers. Experience criteria includes:
- Prior working experience with troubleshooting different brands of laptops
- Proficiency in some of the following programing: Python, HTML, JAVA, C#, C++ and SQL.

Donate towards SHARE of McLean‘s Most-Needed Items list.
Most Needed Items are bolded below:
Food:
- Canned fruit
- Canned chicken and fish
- Canned beans (kidney, garbanzo, pinto)
- Pasta (elbow, penne, etc.)
- Ramen noodle packets
- Snacks/bars/crackers (granola bars, etc.)
Personal Care Items:
- Pull-Ups (Sizes 4T–5T)
- Diapers (Size 6)
- Toilet Paper
- Paper Towels
- Deodorant
- Tooth brushes (individually wrapped)
- Toothpaste
- NEW socks for children, women and men
- NEW socks for children, women and men
Reminders:
- NO GLASS, NO OVER-SIZED items, and no items past their best-if used by date.
- Share would welcome re-usable grocery size bags, paper shopping bags with intact handles, and plastic grocery bags (used but intact is ok).
- SHARE can accept refrigerated and frozen goods such as chicken, fresh produce, yogurt, cheeses, and eggs but only by prior arrangement ([email protected]).
Donations can be left in the outside donation boxes at McLean Baptist Church, 1367 Chain Bridge Road, any time.
